ABE – Admin Booking Engine (ABE) is a new service that Switch is offering to Hotel Managers that want to setup their Booking Engine but do not have time or expertise to do so . In ABE, Switch team will setup the Booking Button of the property and we do all customization, marketing-driven setup and brand-alignment. Then we publish the button in your properties social media and website. And we continue managing and monitoring your Booking button’s performance and providing you insights and advise.
BE – Booking engine, or booking button, a feature included in Switch’s PMS and paid by the subscription fee. BE process online bookings for the Hotel, with no commission or fees. So when the guest click the ‘Book now’ button on Hotel’s Facebook page or website, the bookings that guest made on that button will go directly to your Switch calendar and automatically block the availability according to the dates to all of the OTAs that connected to your system.
Reservations made both via BE or ABE are inserted automatically in your SWITCH calendar and the system updates the new room availability across your connected channels.
Main difference – There is a charge of transaction fees from the guest who make a reservation via ABE. There’s no commission, no extra-charge from Hotel, only this collected fee* charged on top of guest’s room charges when they make a booking via Booking Button that was setup under ABE option. Transaction fee may vary between 5% to 10% depending on room charges, and it is non-refundable.
